About: At Lydia's Lechon Restaurant, freshness and quality have always been the tradition. Not only because we carry the country's symbol of festive tradition, but because you, our business partners, deserve nothing less. We always take pride of the quality of our product and the quality of our customer service as well.

With P500.00 as starting capital way back in 1965, Lydia and Benigno de Roca opened the first Lydia's Lechon retail stall just outside of the Our Lady of Sorrows Church, F.B. Harrison St., Pasay City (Philippines).

Some devotees of the church, who happened to be in the restaurant and hotel business, tried their lechon and appreciated its cebu-style taste and freshness. The early patrons, also distinguished the couple's stall for its cleanliness. Word of mouth began to spread of the savory taste of the couple's lechon. They began to grow a decent following from the regulars of the church . Soon, they started to get orders for whole lechons.

In 1986 they opened their first self-service restaurant along the service road of Roxas Blvd., Baclaran, ParaƱaque City. While their patrons began to grow, the couple thought of giving them alternative to the cebu-style lechon. Then, the boneless lechon stuffed with seafood paella was launched. It was an instant hit; a unique gastronomical experience.

Eventually, Lydia and Benigno transferred to a more spacious home in the area to accommodate the increasing number of customers.

In April of 1989 the first branch of Lydia's Lechon outside of the southern part of Metro Manila , in Timog Avenue, Quezon City was established. This was followed by other stores on the eastern part of the Metro. From there, fast food outlets of Lydia's Lechon mushroomed within the popular malls of the metropolis.

Although originally intended to be a close family corporation, the first franchise of Lydia's Lechon was sold in 2005 for a fast food and retail outlet at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. Today, we are known as the biggest chain of lechon outlets in the country. Presently, there are 21 branches of Lydia's Lechon located in the Greater Manila area and Cavite.

This year Lydia's Lechon will be celebrating its 45th anniversary of bringing only the freshest, crispiest and tastiest lechon in the country. We will continue to be committed to be the purveyor of one of the icons of a festive culture, satisfying your plate and your heart with quality food and customer service with a smile.
